Thalia Sodi’s Age and Early Life

She was born Ariadna Thalia Sodi Miranda in Mexico City, Mexico. She is currently 52 years old and we know this because she was born on August 26, 1971. Thalia’s parents, Yolanda Miranda and Ernesto Sodi Pallares were successful in their different careers. Her father Pallares was a doctor, criminologist, and writer while her mother was a painter who became more involved as Thalia’s manager. Also, Thalia traces her ancestry to Florence, Italy where her paternal grandfather was born and raised before he fled to Mexico during the Italian diaspora.

Moving forward, she grew up as the youngest among five siblings, all sisters namely Laura Zapata, Federica, Gabriela, and Ernesta Sodi. The oldest among her siblings was born during her mother’s relationship with Guillermo Zapata Perez de Utrera.

She attended Lycee Franco Mexican elementary school and this explains why she also speaks French. Having started out in a family of established parents, Thalia started laying her own career path at a young age. She made her first TV commercial when she was 1 year old.  Four years later, she started ballet and piano classes. Another notable career milestone for the young Thalia was her appearance in La Guerra de los Pasteles in 1976.

Like many talented entertainers, Thalia registered her skill as an actress while wowing fans with her singing prowess. Since her first role in uncredited acting role in 1979 as mentioned earlier, it took her some years before she was next seen in an episode of the 1986 series Monte Calvario.
